Solomon Islands Proposes CBI Program

The Solomon Islands government has introduced its first draft of a Citizenship by Investment (CBI) bill, part of its larger economic strategy. Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele emphasized that the initiative aims to attract foreign investment while maintaining high standards of due diligence to safeguard the nation’s credibility.

What’s the deal?

• The bill will allow investors and their families to gain Solomon Islands citizenship.

• The Solomon Islands passport ranks 37th globally with access to 134 destinations, including the UK and Schengen Area.

• Public input is being sought before the bill is finalized.
